Lime & Mint Water

One thing that I’ve been seeing all over the interwebs is Lime & Mint Water. There are so many benefits to drinking naturally flavored water. You only need a few ingredients and it makes it easier to drink your daily 8 glasses of water.

Sneak Peek: Givenchy is dressing Rihanna for her Diamonds World Tour

Not gonna lie, so jealous of Rihanna right now. Givenchy is dressing her in costume couture clothing for her Diamonds tour.

Wow!

Creative director, Riccardo Tisci said the entire ensemble respresented "female empowerment and urban haute couture elegance," and called Rihanna "punk and talented... she is the face of her generation."

What do you think? Hate it or love it?

2013’s Most Wearable Trends

When it comes to the latest fashion trends, sometimes the latest trends will leave you quizzically asking yourself ‘What on earth?’ It is true that some styles do not suit everyone from skyscraper heels to bright neon tops. Many women whilst relaxing and flicking through their latest fashion and beauty magazine will also be struck by the price tags that accompany these glossy garments, which may leave them feeling like these looks are unobtainable and out of reach to the majority of fashion lovers. However, fear not, as there have been an abundance of wearable and affordable trends at this year’s spring and autumn catwalks in Milan, Paris, London and New York. Here are some that you can comfortably try at home.

Wearable fabrics. Dolce and Gabbana strayed from the sparkly and digital prints seen by a lot of designers, to more traditional and classic fabrics in Milan. Fashionistas saw models gliding down the catwalks in tweed, checks and plaid for a more demure and everyday autumn collection. These popular fabrics can be found easily in charity shops as well as high street outlets. For a truly personal, vintage touch, ask around the family to see if there is a tweed jacket gathering dust that needs a revival.

Bermuda shorts. For style that is closer to the start of the year, a big spring trend was a tweak on the classical but sometimes comical Bermuda short. Instead of red and blue tikki patterns, think elegant delicate floral fabrics as seen at Peter Som or jean cut-offs at DKNY. This eclectic mix of fabrics means that any old pair or scuffed trousers in the back of the wardrobe can be given a simple revival with a pair of scissors and a bit of sewing. Team the shorts with a tailored jacket and heals for a comfortable yet chic look.

Bohemian. It seems that the bohemian trend never really disappears altogether as this versatile style incorporates so much into a look from bright patterns and beading to feathers and fringing, which is also a big trend for spring. This style is a great excuse to keep your makeup and hair natural and giving your feet a break from hours of heel tottering. Try mixing up the look as seen at Altuzarra by mixing contrasting colours and patterns together, teamed with a pair of modern high boots.

Sporty dresses. This casual dress alternative is great in the warmer months for a flirty and breezy look. They also look great either with flats, heels or wedges, depending on what comfort level you wish to opt for. We love Rag and Bone’s fitted sport dresses with a belted waist and detailing around the collar. Team the dress with bright accessories such as a coloured shopper bag as seen at Stella McCartney.

Stripes. Stripes dominated the spring catwalks. Marc Jacobs and Tommy Hilfiger amongst many others opted for an all out stripe spectacular in their new collections. However, if you don’t wish to dress in this trend from head to toe, select a striped shirt or blouse underneath a plain suit for a more subtle look. Alternatively, vertical striped trousers are great from elongating your legs and go well with a plain top half and colourful accessories.

Special thanks for Terisa Able for this great fashion guest post.
