Pink Lotus

A couple of weeks, ago I bought a UV-FREE Gel-Color polish by a brand named Nutra Nail in the color Lotus at Five Below. It's a pretty hot pink, my favorite color. I forgot how much I paid for the kit, but if you don't already know, everything at Five Below is $5.00 or less. I LOVE that store! This product retails on their website for $11.99 plus shipping. This is a GREAT deal. Last night, I was finally able to test it out. The company states that it 'Sets Rock Solid in 5 Minutes'. I have never tried a gel polish before and for $5.00 or less, this was perfect. It comes with instructions, activator, gel polish, and a brush cleaner.

If you are anything like me, I always manage to mess up my nails and they tend to chip easily. Polish takes 24 hrs to dry completely! That is time that I know myself and a lot of other women do not have. 

On to the application process, first, I read all the instructions to make sure I get it done correctly on the first try with their Application Guide. 

1. Prep Nail
• Remove polish
• Shape nails and push back cuticles
• Wash and dry hands
2. Set Up
• Got a clean paper towel to protect my table
• Shook gel color bottle
• Unscrewed all bottle caps
3. Application Process
• Step One: Activator
• Brush on a thorough coat of activator over entire nail and over edge
• Apply to all 5 nails on one hand
• Use Enough Activator so nails appear wet and shiny
• Step Two: Gel-Color
• Immediately apply a thin coat of Gel-Color over wet Activator to same five nails. Brush over entire nail and over edge
• First coat may appear streaky
• Use slight pressure so Gel-Color and Activator can blend 
• Step Three: Clean Brush
• Wipe Gel-Color Brush thoroughly on paper towel and place Brush Cleaner to prevent buildup
• Take brush from Brush Cleaner and place in Gel-Color for next application

You repeat the application on both hands twice for full coverage. 

This process was very easy to use. I think I completed it in about 20 minutes or less so it was not bad, considering I was 'Facebooking' at the same time. I did not mess up or ding my nails at all. I love how the Gel-Color bled into the activator and blended right in. I did have some of the polish on my skin surrounding my nails. I didn't even bother trying to remove it last night. I left it alone to remove in my morning shower. All you have to do is a little bit of scrubbing and you're good to go! I am amazed and how good my nails came out. I'm definitely going back to Five Below to purchase some more colors. This product is perfect for women who do not have a lot of time on their hands to polish their nails and change up the color frequently. Plus they will not chip. I am recommending this to all my girlfriends.
